Privacy Policy

Overview

This Policy explains how LevelUp collects and uses information. We built LevelUp for students, so we collect only what we need.

Information we collect

• Account info: email, name/nickname, password hash
• Study & activity data: focus sessions, XP, streaks, quests, boss battles, GPA tools
• Device/usage info: IP, browser, pages visited, events (for security & debugging)
• Payment info: processed by Stripe — we never store full card details
• School info (optional): class names, teacher info, or school identifiers used inside LevelUp

How we use data

We use your data to:

• Run the app (XP, streaks, GPA tools, Worlds, etc.)
• Power leaderboards, squads, and progress tracking
• Provide premium features
• Detect abuse, cheating, or security issues
• Improve performance, fix bugs, and develop new features

We may use aggregated/anonymized data (like total focus minutes across users). Individuals are not identified in aggregated analytics.

Sharing your data

We do not sell your information. We only share limited data with:

• Service providers (Stripe, hosting, logging, monitoring)
• Coaches/teachers you explicitly connect with
• Authorities if legally required

Data retention

We keep data while your account is active and for a reasonable period after. Backups and anonymized stats may persist. You may request account deletion.

Cookies

We use cookies to keep you signed in and remember preferences. You may disable cookies, but some features may break.

Security

We use reasonable safeguards (encryption in transit, restricted access). No system is perfectly secure. If a serious incident occurs, we will attempt to notify affected users where required.

Your choices

You can:

• Update your profile
• Change settings
• Request deletion

If your school manages your account, some settings may be controlled by them.

Students & minors

Students under the age of digital consent must use LevelUp with parent/guardian or school permission where required.

Updates

We may update this Policy. Continued use means acceptance.
